Convoy of Hope - HOPE4PHILLY

In September 2011, our church participated in one of the nine campuses of Hope4Philly, a part of the Convoy of Hope outreaches for Philadelphia. The site consisted of several stations where people from the surrounding towns could receive basic medical care, have job interviews, get a haircut, watch some live entertainment, and get a hot meal. Families could also take their children to the kidzone which included inflatables, facepaint, games, and free new toys to take home. There was a clothing shop where people could get gently worn and new clothes in their sizes for free- taking up to 2 bags of clothes home! At the end of the event, people would have the opportunity for prayer and when they would leave, they could take 2 grocery bags home with them. The day consisted of us serving the city, hands on, bringing hope to Philly.
