In spite of Gideon's excuses, God "called" Gideon to lead Israel to strike down the Midianites.  Though Gideon felt inadequate for the job, he was transformed and empowered as he was obedient to God's call.

As Gideon obeys his "call", difficulties arise.  God helps him resolve his problems and confirms his call.

Habakkuk questions why God lets evil continue.  God answers him but he is not happy with God's answer.  Eventually, Habakkuk understands what true faith is.

Jesus' compassion for others caused him to heal the sick even when he was tired.  Then Jesus used what a young boy had to feed over 5000 people.  This shows what God can do with us as we give him our best.
